During the winters, fantastic snow skiing is literally minutes from your doorstep. Winter temperatures average lower-30s daytime to mid-teens in early morning. The average snowfall is 210" annually with snow typically on the ground
starting around Halloween.

How did Angel Fire get that name?
The Village of Angel Fire got its name ultimately from the Moache Utes. Seeing mysterious tongues of red and orange licking at the morning sky, one of the elders claimed it was the "fire of
the gods." Later Franciscan friars interpreted the Ute's "fire of the gods" as "the place of the fire of the angel."
When are the golf and ski seasons?
Golf course season is normally early May, closing mid-October. Ski season is normally mid-December, closing late March.

Normally between late September to mid to late
October, but you can just give us a call, and we'll look out the door and tell
you what it's like right now!
What's the nearest airport?
The nearest commercial airport is Albuquerque International Airport, 150 miles
from Angel Fire, an easy and scenic 3 hour drive.
Limited commercial flights connect to Santa Fe. But if you want to fly your own
plane in, then the nearest airport is right here in Angel Fire!
What Angel Fire Resort amenities are available?
If your property is located within the Angel Fire Resort, and the usual base
amenities of the resort are available to you, and your property is assessed
an annual base membership fee. These base amenities include discounts for
golf and ski lifts. (Premium memberships are available le as well!)
